Partners Apart

"Life does become a little harder without a companion, but worst if a wrong companion."
--- My random realization

After seeing the ups and downs and disasters of relationships in my very own life, I concluded the above. Many argued that you are asking for too much in a companion whereas I stood by my right to living life with the right one. Companionship comes out of ourselves and not out of love/arrange marriage.

We seek the right companionship somewhere in our long list of compromises (moral or immoral). What we tend to forget that if love exists between the two, there is nothing called compromise but more of companionship. And companions never ask for compromise but mutual nourishment and fulfilling lives together.

In recent times, when I have become more observant and empathetic towards people, I see that incompleteness prevails and missing links can be identified easily. I have a strong conviction that if we choose the right person for ourselves, we not only will become better selves but build a better society. It is this missing link that leads many of us towards moral crimes such as infidelity, domestic violence, mentally disturbed generations, and many more.

The dilemma of our generation is that we know the nurturing, fulfillment, and consideration. And there is no harm in it. For a better and long term companionship, we all need to cultivate our partners.

Now the question is why we are unable to land with the right one?

Several reasons can make their place in my mind and that too genuinely. But one tops them all and that is we ourselves choose the wrong one. It is maybe due to our lack of human analysis, poor understanding of our needs in a partner, false belief in promises made by other (in)significant.

Mankind tends to change as per circumstances and when we face those changes; we realize the blunder we made. So firstly, we need to know what kind of person do we exactly want and what actually makes us happy instead of others.

But wait!

It’s not only us. The society also plays a pivotal role here. Family, extended family, siblings, also mislead us and we fall into the traps. Our elders and peers tend to find life partners on their face values such as education, character, looks, background, job, salary, etc. What about the person himself and his adjustment with the partner? To avoid the after disasters, one needs to look beyond the material stats.

I pity many of those who are entangled in a relationship out of social duty, family respect, and children. In our society it’s near to impossible for a couple to detach if they are parents, despite the several differences they continue to face till end. I agree with this practice because what children have to do with elders’ mistakes. Let’s not punish them.

Each one of us has the religious and social right to choose our life partner and pattern both. Life comes once with all its grace and disgrace, be sure to spend with the one who can save you from the disgrace.

Love is all about having a companion who brings the best out of you; show you yourself that was unknown to you even. It is exactly like finding a pearl beneath the darkest beds of the sea.
Marry your explorer, not detractor!!!!

The Darker, The Brighter

-->
Welcome to the dark world for a brighter you.
A few nights back, while my nephews were playing online games on my hard-earned laptop, I felt the cold around coming from the window. The wall outside was almost dark with a slight shadow of light on it. I realized why do most of us contemplate our lives under the influence of night, not light?

I have always preferred night over day, except when I had my nightmares. It’s kind of much more serene and quiet and can be owned. Someone has already second my liking ages ago:
I often think that the night is more alive and more richly colored than the day.
~Vincent Van Gogh
Yes, it is indeed more alive because we get enough time to live it our way and richer because it has got our colors of thoughts.

Day time is kind of pre-occupied and hustle-bustle rules over. I get annoyed easily during the day because a lot of interruptions are there. At day, one thinks of how to earn whereas during night one ponder over why earn? See, the difference is, during day its all about others. But the night is all ours with all the liberty it holds for us. It arrives only for our existence, our reflection. Nights are so much as mothers, nurturing and prospering our inner selves.

Whereas days are like teachers who teach you, scare you and hold punishment and prizes altogether.

Once the sun sets, life bestows its brightness upon you. There is no rush, no race, and no wait. Dawn gives us hope and dusk, the reason for hope.

All my life, I have enjoyed reading, writing and thinking under the lamplight, not sunlight. Everyone else is asleep, hence the time and mind both are at my service, and I use them the way I want to.

Many poets/writers have mentioned the night, very pitiless as when they miss their darlings most. It is pictured as the time which is hard to spend under the longing thoughts. Now, if we look at it, isn’t it because nights give plenty of time to think of your hidden life, innermost philosophy, and the long lost love?

Yes.
Why not one feels sleepless at day time, why night? Because, we want to go into a state of ignorance (of others) during the day but the night doesn’t own us, we own it at our ease.
Unlike days, every night arrives with the promise of tranquility. We shape nights as per our choice while the day shapes us.

Embrace the darkness for the inner enlightenment!!!

Men vs. Markets

-->
He is one of those people who would be enormously improved by death.”
The above has proven to be correct for Syed Muzzamil Hussain Shah, a young scout who embraced martyrdom on 28th December, 2009 in Ashur procession blast in Karachi.

-->
-->But how many of us remember him? Or do we remember any of those who got killed that day? Off the record, over 75 people got killed on that day while participating in the procession. We remember none but burned shops because that’s what being over-run on media.

Sometimes the significance of material takes over precious lives. I wonder why and who called lives precious since they are not anymore. We have better things to show and cry over, such as loss of Rs.30 billion, stolen arms, and arguing and blaming political parties.

Government of Pakistan announced Rs. 500,000 for the deceased and Rs.100,000 for injured but these funds will take time to arrive in the hand of families. With the increasing inflation, how long do we expect the families to survive on Rs.500, 000? Or in case of injured, I know many who are not capable of affording private hospitals for better treatment.
But then why should we bother?
Those people were not supporting the national economy but just mere breadwinners of their families. We are more concerned about the commercial hub of Karachi, Bolton Market, that has been hyped so much that we have almost forgotten the actual incident i.e. bomb blast.

Not only the Government but international Memon communities have come forward to help the businessmen. But which community will raise for people like Muzzamil, from whose house, five funerals came out at a time, including two earners of separate families? This is not all.

With the start of New Year, when Karachi was not yet over with its grief, the blast took place in Lakki Marwat leaving 105 dead and over 100 injured. Once again compensation was announced with condemnation from political figures and country runners. I never happen to see those who died, acknowledged or their families condoled when almost genocide took place.
Why? Because our media and other responsible were too busy with the re-building of markets in Karachi. We are ignoring the long-term effect of our ignorance. The coming generation of terrorism stricken families is keeping nothing but hatred because there is nobody to take care of their future.

Does the government think that 0.5 million rupees are enough to take care of a family of 5 for the rest of their lives?
No. So, shall we consider lives precious? No way!! Markets are better than men.

Sentimentally Decorated Statii

-->
With the end of year 2009, many of us make resolutions, ponder over past,forecast future or simply sleep over all these. I, instead, spent the night copying down some of my poetry and realized that my penned-down thoughts can provided me some penny sometime later in life.

In recent past, many of my Facebook friends have some way or other commented on my ever changing Super-Statii. This actually gave me a hint that I must keep a track of all of my deadly or delightful mental geniuses. Now the problem was how shall I find these status? A friend of mine posted an application where some of your year status appears as a collage. So I also tried it and found that I can see all my status and choose some for collage. So, I not only made the collage but made a collection of status as well. Isn't that super-duper time pass?

Though, the collection is of 2009 only, I am pretty sure that I must have posted some great thoughts prior to it under my ultra depressive mode.
